Boudreau fired by the Anaheim Ducks

Hockey is a very intense sport, and it is all about winning. The Anaheim Ducks management believes the team’s chances will improve with a new coach so they fired Coach Bruce Boudreau just a few days ago. Although the team embraced their coach from the very beginning, the end is not happy for him.

Boudreau became the coach of the Ducks in 2011, a very short time after he stopped coaching the Washington Capitals. From the first days as a coach, he made it clear that he was planning to be more than open with the players; the doors were always open for everyone, and he was always happy to encourage his players on a personal note. The 61-year-old Coach managed to take the team to victory on many occasions.

Then why this happened? Well, nobody knows for sure. The news came after the team lost, yet again, in game 7 right in their own backyard. The General Manager of the team acknowledged the team’s talent, but at the same time he said that he does not feel like the collaboration with the Coach can continue, so his contract will end immediately. Although most of the players only made official statements regarding this issue, voices say that they are unhappy about the decision of the GM.

For now, Boudreau is very reserved with his statement and many more weeks will pass before we will find out exactly why his career ended with the Ducks. Now, the team is searching for a new coach and the media already is mentioning a few possible names.
